While being directly involved in the success, among others, of Leclerc tanks, VBCI, CAESAR®, NARWAHL®..., Nexter Electronics also approached large equipment manufacturers not active in the defence sector, such as the aerospace industry, railway industry, car manufacturers... Through partnerships with public research centers, Nexter Electronics can gain a foothold in innovative civilian markets.

A high-tech engineering office
Nexter Electronics want their engineers' skill in terms of hardware, software and testing facilities development, expert appraisals, integration, treatment of obsolescence, retrofitting, refurbishment and upgrading, components purchasing, and industrial steering of a network of highly specialized subcontractors.

 Military markets
Major orders for spare parts as well as within the context of the new programs reinforce Nexter Electronics' position in the field of electronic components for military equipment. These orders account for more than half of Nexter Electronics' order book.

Civil markets
In 2007, Nexter Electronics pursued their referencing work with large electronics specialists and prime manufacturers or contractors, especially in the field of aeronautics regarding the provision of services in respect of energy management and distribution, tests and testability, as well as the management of obsolescence issues and the maintenance in operational condition. This diversification towards other clients is an essential component for the long-term development of the company.

First references were thus obtained from companies such as: Technofan, Dassault Aviation, Liebherr, ECE... and were followed by some orders whose amounts and scopes are growing along with the maturing of our relations.

Innovation and upstream studies
Nexter Electronics' upstream studies are conducted at our own costor within the framework of civilian or military programs at regional, natioanl or European level.

Amongst the projects conducted in 2007:

GAPPAC (Auxiliary Power Unit with Fuel Cell) in partnership with the National Agency for Research, the INRETS and Airbus,
FIDES, reliability calculation method, together with the Thales, Airbus, MBDA and Eurocopter companies,
